Welcome to JunkRabbit. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the JunkRabbit platform, website at junkrabbit.nyc, and all related services (collectively, the "Platform"). By using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Please read these Terms carefully. If you do not agree, do not use JunkRabbit.
JunkRabbit is an AI-powered marketplace that connects customers who need junk removed with vetted, independent hauling professionals ("Haulers"). We provide technology to facilitate item identification, pricing, scheduling, and payment.
Marketplace disclaimer: JunkRabbit is a technology platform, not a junk removal company. Haulers are independent contractors, not employees or agents of JunkRabbit. We facilitate the connection between customers and Haulers but do not directly perform junk removal services.
To use certain features of the Platform, you must create an account using your email address or phone number. You authenticate via one-time passcode (OTP) sent to your email or phone.
Customers can upload photos or describe items they want removed. Our AI technology analyzes the photos to identify items and generate price estimates. You may also request quotes via WhatsApp.
AI-generated pricing: Prices are generated by artificial intelligence and are estimates. All pricing is clearly presented and must be confirmed by you before an order is placed. By confirming an order, you agree to pay the quoted price.
When you confirm a quote and schedule a pickup, you are entering into a service agreement with the Hauler who accepts your job. JunkRabbit facilitates this transaction but is not a party to the service agreement between you and the Hauler.
JunkRabbit charges a platform fee and/or commission on each transaction. This fee is included in the price displayed to you. By placing an order, you agree to the total price shown, which includes any applicable platform fees.
Multiple vetted Haulers may compete for your job. JunkRabbit may assign a Hauler based on availability, proximity, pricing, or other factors. You will be notified when a Hauler is assigned to your job.
If you are dissatisfied with the service provided, you may contact us at support@junkrabbit.nyc within 48 hours of service completion. We will review your complaint and, at our discretion, may issue a full or partial refund. Refunds are processed via Stripe to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to appear.
We reserve the right to cancel orders if no Hauler is available, if we suspect fraud, or if the items described are prohibited (see Section 8). If we cancel your order, you will receive a full refund.
Independent contractors: Haulers are independent contractors and are not employees, agents, or representatives of JunkRabbit. JunkRabbit does not control the manner or method by which Haulers perform services. Each Hauler is responsible for their own licensing, insurance, equipment, and compliance with applicable laws.
While JunkRabbit vets Haulers before they join the platform, we do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any Hauler’s services. Your use of Hauler services is at your own risk.

When you upload photos, those images are transmitted to Anthropic’s API for processing. By using the Platform, you consent to this transmission. For details on how Anthropic handles your data, see Anthropic’s Privacy Policy.
AI-generated pricing is an estimate and is not binding until you confirm the order. Actual conditions at the pickup site (access difficulty, additional items, weight discrepancies) may result in price adjustments, which will be communicated to you before any additional charges are applied.

Please read carefully: To the maximum extent permitted by law, JunkRabbit’s total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to JunkRabbit in the 12 months preceding the claim.
JunkRabbit is not liable for:
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless JunkRabbit, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party; or (d) any content you submit to the Platform.
Before filing any legal claim, you agree to contact us at support@junkrabbit.nyc and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
If informal resolution fails, you and JunkRabbit agree to resolve any disputes through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration will take place in New York County, New York. Each party will bear its own costs, and the arbitrator’s decision will be final and binding.
You agree that disputes will be resolved on an individual basis. You waive the right to participate in class actions, class arbitrations, or representative proceedings.
Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court in New York County if the claim qualifies.
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the New York City Consumer Protection Law (NYC Admin. Code Title 20) or New York General Business Law Article 22-A (Deceptive Acts and Practices). You retain the right to file complaints with the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection.
JunkRabbit currently operates exclusively within New York City. Pickup addresses must be located within the five boroughs. We reserve the right to expand or limit our service area at any time.
By providing your phone number, you consent to receive messages from JunkRabbit via WhatsApp, SMS, and email for transactional purposes (order updates, OTP codes, receipts, and customer support). WhatsApp conversations may be logged and stored for quality assurance and dispute resolution.
You may opt out of marketing messages at any time by replying "STOP" or contacting us. Transactional messages necessary for service delivery cannot be opted out of while you have an active order.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal proceedings not subject to arbitration shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on the Platform and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of JunkRabbit after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
