Renovation debris can't go to the curb — it goes to a licensed facility

Construction and demolition (C&D) debris — drywall, plaster, lath, lumber, tile, flooring, an old vanity or tub — is not accepted by DSNY at the curb. It has to be removed by a registered hauler and taken to a licensed C&D transfer station, where it's sorted for recycling. We are that hauler: we load it straight from the unit and haul it to a licensed facility. On the Upper East Side most co-ops also require a certificate of insurance on file before renovation debris leaves the building, plus a reserved service-elevator or freight window; we carry liability insurance, email the COI to your managing agent, and book the freight.

You don't have to bag it yourself — we load loose debris from the room, or take contractor bags you've already filled, and price it to whichever's cheaper. Send a photo for an exact bag, cubic-yard, or truck-load quote.
