We handle apartment cleanouts after a loved one passes. Studio: $400–$600. One-bedroom: $600–$900. Two-bedroom: $900–$1,400. We can split across multiple visits if you need time.
This is not a normal cleanout
Clearing out your mother’s apartment is an act of grief as much as logistics. We treat it that way.
If you’re reading this with a lease-end deadline from the landlord, or an estate attorney pressuring the sale — we can move fast when needed. If you have time and want to process photos and keepsakes carefully, we can spread it over weeks.
How we approach estate cleanouts
- A walk-through first (optional, free). We meet you at the apartment. You show us what the volume looks like. We quote honestly. No pressure.
- You separate what you want to keep. Put tape or stickers on anything that stays. Photos, jewelry, documents, meaningful items — we don’t touch those.
- We handle the rest. Furniture, appliances, clothing, kitchen items, books, everything else gets sorted — donations, recycling, disposal.
- Deliver what stays to where you want it. Usually a family member’s home. We can schedule drop-offs.
What we commonly find (and how we handle it)
- Photographs and albums. We separate these carefully. If you missed any, we’ll call before disposing.
- Documents. Tax records, social security cards, deeds — set aside in a clearly labeled box. We don’t read, just separate.
- Clothing. Good condition goes to donation (Goodwill, Salvation Army, local shelters). Worn-out goes to textile recycling.
- Jewelry and valuables. Anything that looks potentially valuable — we flag for you to review before disposal.
- Furniture with history. If a particular chair or table matters, tag it to save before we start.

Frequently asked
I don’t know where to start. Can you help decide what to keep?
Yes — we can do a walk-through together. No pressure. Some families invite a friend; some want us to help directly.
What if the will is still being contested?
We work with estate attorneys regularly. The executor authorizes the cleanout; we provide a detailed inventory of disposed items.
Can you donate items rather than dispose?
Whenever possible. Usable furniture, clothing, books, and kitchen items go to Goodwill, Salvation Army, or local shelters. We track what went where.
