JunkRabbit ("JunkRabbit," "we," "us") operates junkrabbit.nyc, a marketplace that connects customers in the New York City area with independent, vetted junk-removal haulers. This policy explains what information we collect when you request a quote, book a pickup, or communicate with us, and how we use and protect it. By using our website or services, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Contact details — your name, phone number, and email address, provided when you request a quote, book a pickup, or save a quote for later.
• Pickup details — service address, building/access notes, item list, and any photos you upload to price your job.
• Payment information — processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers; we retain only a payment reference and the amount.
• Usage data — pages viewed, device/browser information, and similar analytics, collected via cookies and tools such as PostHog and Google Analytics to improve the site.

2. How we use your information

• To generate quotes, process bookings, and take payment for your pickup.
• To dispatch and coordinate the independent hauler assigned to your job.
• To send you service communications — order confirmations, receipts, hauler-en-route and status updates, payment links, and quote follow-ups — by email and, with your consent, by text message.
• To provide customer support and respond to your questions.
• To operate, secure, and improve our website and services.

3. SMS / text messaging program

When you book a pickup through JunkRabbit, you agree (via a checkbox at checkout) to receive the service-related text (SMS) messages described below. These are transactional messages needed to operate your order — confirmations, payment links, hauler-assigned and "on the way" updates, and scheduling reminders. We do not use this program to send marketing or promotional texts. You can stop the texts at any time by replying STOP; we'll then keep you updated about your order by email or phone instead.

What you'll receive

Account- and order-related messages, such as: booking and quote confirmations, payment links and receipts, hauler-assigned and "on the way" updates, scheduling and arrival-window reminders, and replies to messages you send us. We do not send recurring marketing or promotional text campaigns through this program.

Message frequency & cost

Message frequency varies based on your activity (for example, the status of an active pickup). Message and data rates may apply. Rates are charged by your mobile carrier and are your responsibility.

How to opt out or get help

You can cancel SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. After you reply STOP, you'll receive one confirmation message and we will not send you further texts unless you opt in again. For help, reply HELP or contact us at hello@junkrabbit.nyc or (332) 455-7051. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

4. How we share information

We share information only as needed to provide the service, and never to sell it:

• Assigned haulers — the independent hauler handling your pickup receives the details needed to complete the job (name, pickup address, contact number, and item list). Haulers are bound to use this only to perform your service.
• Service providers — vendors who operate parts of our service on our behalf, such as Stripe (payment processing), our SMS/email delivery providers, and hosting and analytics providers. They may process your data only to provide those services to us.
• Legal — when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of JunkRabbit, our customers, or others.

As stated above, mobile information and SMS consent are excluded from any sharing with third parties for marketing.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may ask us to delete information that we are not required to retain.

6. Your choices

• SMS: reply STOP to opt out at any time (see Section 3).
• Email: use the unsubscribe link in marketing emails, or contact us. Transactional emails about an active order may still be sent.
• Access/deletion: email hello@junkrabbit.nyc to request access to or deletion of your personal information.
• Cookies: you can control cookies through your browser settings.
