The neighborhood we're hauling in covers a wider cultural span than any other in Brooklyn. The Eastern Parkway corridor and the streets immediately south (President, Carroll, Montgomery, Sterling, Lincoln) are dominated by Caribbean family households — Trinidadian, Jamaican, Haitian, Guyanese — many in homes their families have owned for 40-50 years. The blocks east of Kingston around Crown Street, Albany, and Eastern Parkway extension are the heart of the Lubavitch / Chabad Hasidic community, with their own scheduling rhythms around Shabbos and Jewish holidays. North of Eastern Parkway, between Atlantic and Pacific, is the rapidly-renovating brownstone belt with young professional residents and active construction. And the western edge near Franklin Avenue is mixed — historic brownstones, walk-ups, and infill condos.
The good news for hauling: most Crown Heights housing is row house or brownstone, which means stoop access for trucks during weekday loading hours. The Eastern Parkway co-ops are the exception — they run on the Manhattan model: doorman, COI, service-elevator slot booking through the super.
