Conference House Park sits at the literal southern tip, and from there the neighborhood stretches north to roughly Bloomingdale Road. Almost the entire housing stock is single-family — colonials, ranches, split-levels, and capes built mostly between the 1950s and 1980s on tree-lined residential streets and cul-de-sacs. Lot sizes are larger than virtually anywhere else in NYC; many homes have attached two-car garages and substantial side and back yards.
The waterfront blocks (along Hylan Boulevard south of Page Avenue, and the Conference House Park-adjacent area) have a smaller number of larger waterfront homes, including some historic properties dating back to the 1700s near Conference House (the oldest surviving house in NYC).
