Appliance Removal,
Neighborhood by Neighborhood

JunkRabbit picks up refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, stoves, and air conditioners across NYC — co-op COIs emailed to the managing agent, walk-up carry-downs with no stair fee, freight-elevator tower pickups, and heavy basement carry-ups, all by a two-person crew. Pick your neighborhood below for the local detail, or get an instant photo quote now. Flat per-item pricing everywhere: a standard refrigerator is $221, a window AC $107, the same in any borough and on any floor — and the EPA refrigerant-recovery fee on fridges, freezers, and ACs is already included, so there's no surprise add-on.

One flat price, heavy carry handled, refrigerant recovery included

However your building works, the price is the same — we charge by the piece, not by floor or borough. Pre-war co-op with a managing-agent COI and a service elevator, fifth-floor walk-up with a 200-pound fridge, doorman tower with a reserved freight elevator, or a two-family house with a chest freezer in the basement: there's no walk-up surcharge, no high-rise fee, no elevator fee, and no borough modifier. A standard refrigerator is $221 and a side-by-side/French-door fridge $246; a freezer is $196, a washer $179, a dryer $172, a stacked washer/dryer $225, a dishwasher $147, a stove/oven/range $176, a window AC $107, and a mini fridge $155. The heavy two-person carry — down the brownstone stoop, up from the basement, or through the freight elevator — is part of the price. Old fridges, freezers, and window ACs contain refrigerant, and EPA Section 608 requires a certified handler recover it before disposal, which is why DSNY won't take a fridge from the curb without a certified tag; we handle the recovery and the certification, already baked into the price. Metal appliances go to a scrap recycler. $75 minimum.
