Can you use the service elevator at Concourse co-op buildings?
Yes. Most prewar buildings along the Concourse (the Lewis Morris, Executive Towers, the original 1930s Art Deco towers) have a service elevator and a freight reservation system. We send the COI to your managing agent or super before the pickup; you reserve the elevator window.

What about pickups near 161st St / Yankee Stadium?
We avoid scheduling pickups for the 161st / 153rd corridor during home games. The civic-center stretch (courthouse, Bronx Borough Hall) is fine on weekdays, slow on weekends — we route trucks down the side streets (River Avenue, Walton Avenue) to avoid the main Concourse buses.
Do you handle estate cleanouts in the older Concourse co-ops?
Yes, this is a significant portion of our Concourse work. Many of the prewar 1930s buildings have original tenants in long-held co-op apartments. We sort: keep, donate (Bronx Salvation Army and Goodwill chains), and dispose. We work with the estate's attorney and managing agent on COI and elevator scheduling.
The Grand Concourse is a four-mile north-south spine — the boulevard Louis Risse designed in 1890 to be the Bronx's answer to the Champs-Élysées. The residential stock is dense and historic: 1920s and 1930s Art Deco towers (the Lewis Morris at 175th, Executive Towers at 165th, the dozens of 6-to-12 story prewar co-ops between Yankee Stadium and Bedford Park). Most of these buildings have a doorman, a freight elevator, and a managing agent who requires a COI before any vendor touches the elevator.
Below 161st you're in the civic-government corridor — Bronx County Courthouse, Borough Hall, the Bronx Museum of the Arts — and across the street from Yankee Stadium. We never schedule Concourse pickups during home games; the traffic on River and Walton makes it impossible. Above 161st, the residential blocks resume up through Mt. Eden, Mount Hope, and into Bedford Park where the Concourse intersects Fordham Road.
The Concourse is majority Latino — Dominican, Puerto Rican, Mexican households dominate the residential corridor. Roughly two-thirds of our Concourse calls come in or switch to Spanish; we keep Spanish-speaking crew on these routes by default. Estate cleanouts are a meaningful share of the work — the prewar co-ops have original tenants from the 1950s and 60s, and the families that book us are sorting decades of stored furniture.

- Estate cleanouts in prewar co-ops — Lewis Morris, Executive Towers, the 1930s towers around Mt. Eden. We sort: keep, donate (Bronx Salvation Army, Goodwill), dispose. Family on speakerphone with the executor in another state.
- Service-elevator sofa pickups — your super reserves the freight window, we send the COI. 11am elevator window, truck staged on the side street.
- Appliance swaps — refrigerator, stove, washer/dryer combo. Old unit out, new one in if the delivery is the same day.
- Bedroom-set haul-aways — bed frame, dresser, mirror, nightstands. Standard end-of-life replacement after a long-term tenant updates the apartment.
- Yankee-Stadium-area commercial — small bar and restaurant cleanouts along 161st and River Avenue. We schedule weekday mornings to avoid game traffic.
