Bluff-top tenement walk-ups along Ogden and Anderson, NYCHA Highbridge Houses on University Avenue, and the Yankee Stadium / Major Deegan border. Trucks staged on the cross-streets to dodge the grade.

Upload Photos & Get Quote →Highbridge takes its name from the High Bridge — the 1848 stone aqueduct (the city's oldest standing bridge) crossing the Harlem River into Manhattan. The neighborhood sits on a 200-foot bluff above the river, with the streets descending steeply west toward the Major Deegan Expressway. The dominant housing type is 5- and 6-story prewar tenement walk-up apartment buildings along Anderson Avenue, Ogden Avenue, Woodycrest Avenue, and Plimpton Avenue. The grade matters: alternate-side parking on the steeper blocks is brutal, so we stage trucks on the flatter cross-streets (West 167th, West 168th, West 170th) and dolly the half-block in.
On the south side, Highbridge edges Yankee Stadium and the Major Deegan / River Avenue corridor — we never schedule pickups during home games; the bottom-of-the-bluff streets clog up for hours. NYCHA Highbridge Houses on University Avenue is the largest residential complex; same flat rate.
Demographically, Highbridge is overwhelmingly Latino (Dominican, Puerto Rican, Mexican). Spanish is the default crew language on this route.

"Moved out of my Williamsburg apartment and needed everything gone. JunkRabbit cleared the whole place in 2 hours. The pricing was transparent — no surprises."
"Had a fridge and washer to get rid of. They handled the heavy lifting from my 4th floor walk-up. Price was exactly what the quote said."
