What Bowery pickups actually look like

The Bowery is one of Manhattan's oldest streets — a north-south thoroughfare running from Chatham Square (Chinatown's eastern edge) up to Cooper Square (East Village). Different stretches of the Bowery have very different jobs for us. South Bowery (Hester to Houston) is NYC's Restaurant Supply Row — a half-mile of commercial restaurant-equipment wholesalers, walk-in cooler suppliers, prep-table sellers. Restaurant turnover and supplier closeouts generate steady commercial work here, often involving walk-in cooler decommissioning with EPA Section 608 refrigerant recovery.

Middle Bowery (Houston to Cooper Square) is now overwhelmingly residential post-2000s loft and condo conversions of former warehouse and SRO buildings — higher-end residential with freight elevators and managing-agent COI requirements. The New Museum sits on the east side at 235 Bowery. The Bowery Hotel and other boutique hotels mix in.

Some historic SRO (single-room-occupancy) flophouses still operate on the Bowery; lease-end cleanouts there are room-by-room work.
