The defining feature is the vertical stacking: the multistory commercial buildings on the strip pack Korean BBQ restaurants, karaoke (norebang), spa (jjimjilbang), bars, cafés, and beauty businesses on every floor up to 8-10 stories. Most don't have street-facing storefronts but rather elevator access from small lobby entrances.
Our work in K-Town is predominantly commercial restaurant cleanouts. Korean BBQ restaurants cycle through every few years; equipment removal is significant — exhaust hoods, BBQ table grills, walk-in coolers (EPA Section 608 refrigerant recovery), karaoke equipment, custom millwork. Truck staging on 32nd is impossible during peak hours; we use 31st or 33rd Streets and dolly the half-block.
The neighborhood expands slightly beyond the 32nd Street block — to the residential / mixed buildings along Broadway, 5th Avenue, and 33rd Street. Spanish and Korean both routine on the route.
