Upload Photos & Get Quote →University Heights takes its name from the old NYU University Heights campus — NYU's main campus from 1894 to 1973, designed by Stanford White, anchored by the Hall of Fame for Great Americans (1901 colonnade housing busts of notable Americans). NYU sold the campus to CUNY in 1973; it's now Bronx Community College. The historic campus sits on the bluff overlooking the Harlem River; the surrounding residential streets descend steeply west.
The residential stock is more mixed than nearby Morris Heights — alongside the 5- and 6-story prewar tenement walk-ups, there's a meaningful stretch of 1920s and 30s prewar Art Deco elevator co-op buildings along Sedgwick Avenue and Aqueduct Avenue, some with original lobbies still intact. We send COIs to the managing agents for these.
Demographically, University Heights is majority Latino (Dominican, Puerto Rican, Mexican) with a substantial African-American population. Spanish is the default crew language.

"Uploaded a photo of my old couch and had a quote in literally 7 seconds. Hauler showed up same day. Way cheaper than 1-800-GOT-JUNK."
"Moved out of my Williamsburg apartment and needed everything gone. JunkRabbit cleared the whole place in 2 hours. The pricing was transparent — no surprises."
"Had a fridge and washer to get rid of. They handled the heavy lifting from my 4th floor walk-up. Price was exactly what the quote said."
